Muci Apartmanı is an apartment build located in Ortahisar, Trabzon. Estimated to have been built in the late 1960s to early 1970s, the building underwent restoration in 2025. It is home to the last original Schlieren elevator in Trabzon.

History

The building is estimated to have been constructed in the late 1960s to early 1970s. It remained derelict for a long time, with its entrance typically used as a storage area by local merchants. In 2025, it underwent restoration as part of a plan to convert the apartments into offices. During the restoration, the elevator was completely replaced, thereby eliminating the only fully original Schlieren elevator in Trabzon.

Elevator

The building originally housed a Schlieren elevator. Presumably because the buil

ding had been abandoned for so long, this elevator was completely original. Unfortunately, this elevator was in poor condition and featured Schindler R-Series fixtures. It had brown doors, and the cabin lighting was broken.

In late 2025-early 2026, the elevator was completely replaced with a generic elevator featuring Butkon fixtures. There is not much information available about this new elevator yet, as the building has not yet been opened to the public.
